In September prices for food are getting higher. Experts explain it by bad harvest, coming elections and trade “unfair margin”. However experts predict that when new VRU and Government are formed, prices increase will stop but prices will not fall. For the creeping hike almost for all food products, prices for sunflower oil, buckwheat and eggs have been increased most of all.
As to the meat, prices remain the same as they were in August when the government signed a memorandum with producers on prices freeze.
According to Finance Minister Mykola Azarov, there are no objective reasons for price hike. Price increase is a consequence of sabotage of regional administrations.
