Kyiv authority plans to reproduce the fountain of 1870 in Kyiv till 2012. The press service of Kyiv state city administration informs, referring the deputy chairman of Kyiv state city administration Vitaliy Zhuravsky.
According to him, it will be realized within the framework of program on preparation to final part of football championship Euro-2012. According to this program, the city authority will work on reproduction of historical objects of cultural heritage. This should restore the integrity of architectural ensembles of the city.
Zhuravsky said that before the reconstruction of Sophia square there was a fountain in the center of the square, made of cast iron in 1870 by the project of architecture Olexander Shille.
