Donetsk miners-invalids are picketing Cabinet today. They set tent in Mariinsky park opposite to Cabinet and set poster with slogan “Yanukovych’s Government disrespects miners-invalids.” Coal industry Minister Serhy Tulub came to them and asked to inform about their demands.
Earlier on August 31, Donetsk miners-invalids demanded to pay them insurances. 14 miners participated in that protest action. Their main demand was to get correct recalculation of their losses compensation and also sums of their monthly insurance payments. Moreover miners demanded to institute criminal proceedings against officials who made systematic rude mistakes during calculations of these payments.
Yesterday Labour Minister Mykhaylo Papiyev proposed to form a working group to settle problem situation with miners.
