Kyiv state administration got down to work aimed at struggle against smokers. Soon at the stops of public transport there will be plates on ban. Violators will be fined in amount of UAH 17-119. The Kyiv mayor Leonid Chernovetsky said.
“Within two-three months we provide stops and public places with plates on ban on smoking. It is also planned to indicate not only start but also end of such restriction zones. It is also necessary to think over mechanism of control. Together with corresponding plates, propaganda for healthy lifestyle will be carried out.
Last year the law on ban to smoke in public places came into force. But plates on ban appeared only in subway in Maydan Nezalezhnosti. But heavy smokers do not pay much attention to them and keep smoking.
