President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko congratulated Ukrainian sportsmen, trainers, specialists and veterans of physical-trainings movement on Day of physical culture and sport. On this occasion the President awarded the best sportsmen and trainers with state awards on Septemder 7.
During his speech Yushchenko noted that it is necessary to renew and bring into correspondence with world standards normative-legal base of physical-training sphere. The State must increase assignations for development of sport culture. According to Yushchenko, it is necessary to broaden net of sport schools, clubs, centers of physical culture and sport and sport institutions for invalids.
In turn, the PM Viktor Yanukovych congratulated sportsmen, trainers and veterans sport on Day of physical culture and sport.
“Sidereal sky of world sport is conquered by not one pleiad of Ukrainian sportsmen who much contributed to strengthening of authority of our state, who became a personification of hardening and spirit, extreme nobleness and honesty in sport as well as in life. These successes are not only results of talent and persistence of sportsmen but also much contribution of sport community, trainers and sport activists,” he said in his greeting statement.
Yanukovych noted that the Government always pays attention to creation of good conditions for sport trainings. “On this festive day I wish you health, creative inspiration and new sport achievements and awards,” the statement says.
Day of physical culture and sport is marked in Ukraine on the second Saturday of September.
