President Viktor Yushchenko on Friday sent a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, president's press office reported.
Yushchenko said the National Museum of Fine Arts needs additional premises. He reminded the Prime Minister that the Directorate of Art Exhibitions had ordered a reconstruction of the Republican Exhibition Center on 3 Institutskaya Street in 1986 but the government had given the building to Kyiv’s community in 1999 to establish a national youth center there. The President said the capital’s authorities provided virtuallyno money to reconstruct the building, asking the premier to give it back to the state and complete its reconstruction.
