
For the first time in the history of the Ukrainian - Israeli relations Days of Culture of the State of Israel are held in Ukraine on September 7-13, the press service of the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Ukraine reported.
Events organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Ukraine and supported by the Tourism Ministry of Israel, as well as by the two countries' Foreign Ministries, will be staged in Kyiv, Irpin and Bohuslav.
The official Israeli delegation will be staffed by Israeli Tourism Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich, Knesset member Lia Shemtov, assistant mayor of the Israeli city of Bat Yam Rafi Nasi and director general of the 9th channel (the biggest Russian language TV channel in Israel) Leonid Blechman.
The official and creative delegations of Israel will visit the state historical - memorial reserve Babyn Yar and other national historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine.
Ukraine and Israel established diplomatic relations on December 26, 1991 and since 1992 the Ukrainian Embassy has been functioning in Tel Aviv. The Israeli Embassy was inaugurated in Ukraine in 1993, Cabinet's press office reports.
