President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko promised to rerun lands for people from Schastlyve and Hora villages who picketing at boryspil highway with demand to return their land. He said that yesterday on the way to Kyiv from Kharkiv, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
Yushchenko informed that a month ago he charged judicial department of the President’s Secretariat together with regional Prosecutor’s Office to clear the situation concerning people’s land.
According to Yushchenko, investigations showed that one of the judges alone made a decision to take away one thousand hectare of land from almost 500 citizens.
Yushchenko noted that it is a crime and there are all grounds for restoration of justice. President noted that on August 31 Kyiv appeal court would consider this case and majority of people’s rights would be restored. The second court hearing will take place in early September to restore people in their right for land.
