Tymoshenko considers that refusal of the CEC to register initiative groups on holding constitutional referendum is a consequence of political collusion. BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko said that today in scope of her visit to Kirovohrad region. Tymoshenko considers that 9 issues BYuT intends to submit for referendum do not fit and are inconvenient for the current power.

“Power does not want to be deprived of right to appoint and dismiss the judges. It does not want to cancel benefits and privileges. That’s why this referendum is stopped,” she said.

“People who obtain high positions do not intend to refuse their authorities. That’s why they make collusion and block referendum,” she stated.

Tymoshenko noted that today CEC unfortunately busies itself with politicking. According to Tymoshenko, today both CEC members and judges are hostages of political decisions.
