President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is expected to pay official visit to Canada in November. The Ukrainian ambassador to Canada Ihor Ostash told journalists in scope of the 8th session of leaders of foreign diplomatic representatives to Ukraine.
According to him, the Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko is also going to pay visit to Canada.
Hrytsenko’s visit was scheduled for September, but it was postponed because of early parliamentary elections.
The Ambassador is sure that Ukraine and Canada are interested in cooperation in defense sphere. According to him, Canada is much interested in Afghanistan’s situation, where it has its big contingent.
Ostash noted that Canada will appreciate any actions of Ukraine directed at normalization of situation in Afghanistan, in particular allocation of doctors and engineers.
