President Viktor Yushchenko on Monday met with Volodymyr Shapoval, chairman of the Central Election Committee, President’s press officer reports.
They spoke about preparations for the early parliamentary elections on September 30, especially elections holding in a fair, legal and transparent manner. Shapoval thanked the President for inviting OSCE-BDIHR observers to monitor the poll.
Maryna Stavniychuk, Yushchenko’s deputy chief of staff and representative to the Central Election Committee and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, was present at the meeting.
