Minister of Justice Olexander Lavrynovych, having analyzed the situation with the Justice Ministry's registration of the printed media in the first half of 2007, notes that about five new media were registered daily. According to him, since early 2007, some 1,000 newspapers, magazines and other printed periodicals have been registered in Ukraine, Government’s press office reports.
In general, there are 30,000 printed media registered in Ukraine, their concentration is some one periodical per 1,500 persons of all ages, including children.
The most of these are political, advertisement and information printed editions, the least are for women and erotic editions.
