The Party of Regions is preparing a draft bill on People’s deputies and the President immunity cancellation. Representative of election headquarter of the Party of Regions Borys Kolesnikov stated at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
According to him, the corresponding draft bill “will be introduced within a set time”.
“Our draft bill will foresee the immunity cancellation of People’s deputies, as well as the President’s immunity,’ he said.
Also, Kolesnikov has noted that the draft bill foresees that by January 1, 2008 the level of the People’s deputy salary will decrease to an average monthly salary in the country,
“Starting from the next year we plan to allocate UAH 9 million for the People’s deputy salary instead of UAH 173 million,” Kolesnikov said.
