The Ukrainian Government has enhanced grain crop forecast to 30 million tons, Vice Prime Minister for Agriculture Viktor Slauta announced while on a working visit to the Kyiv region, Cabinet's press office reports.
According to him, corn played a decisive role in the forecast, and the corn yield is expected to reach 6.4 million tons based on the pessimistic forecasts (as minimum).
As of August 14, Ukraine's agrarians gathered 22.6 million tons of crops with 96% squares threshed so far.
As the Vice Prime Minister said, the agrarians have harvested 14.7 million tons of grain with some 2-3% squares have not been threshed yet.
He pointed out that these figures prove Ukraine to be provided with grain in full.
