Minister of Labor and Social policy Mykhaylo Papiev supports initiative of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych concerning the officials’ immunity cancellation. He stated at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.
According to Papiev, it is necessary to prepare a bill on immunity cancellation, to hold the VRU session and to vote. “We will see which political forces really support immunity cancellation,” he added.
He reminded that on January 18, 2001 a bill on amendments to the Constitution was considered, which foresaw the People’s deputies immunity cancellation and the decrease the number of People’s deputies in the VRY by 300.
Papiev asked his opponents why they hadn’t vote for this bill. “And today, why I should believe you, your promises and statements?” the Minister addressed “oranges”.
He is assured that the PR will 100% vote for People’s deputies’ cancellation.
