The Party of Regions intends to return to the question concerning status of the Russian language after the formation of the constitutional majority in the parliament of new convocation. Raisa Bogatyryova coordinator of the Party of Regions stated at the press conference, dedicated to the election program of the party.
“Concession of state status to the Russian language – is a demand of our voters. We do not sell this demands,” Bogatyryova said.
According to her, first of all, it is necessary to adopt the corresponding draft law, send it to the Constitutional Court and after conclusion of the constitutional organ “to vote for the draft law in the parliament by 300 votes”.
“We haven’t got 300 votes yet and we tell our voters that now we haven’t such possibility. If such possibility appears, the Party of Regions will fulfill its promise,” she emphasized.
