Ukraine needs EU support in struggle against spread of HIV/AIDS. Efforts of state and public organizations, who deal with this problem, do not bring results. Farid Muller the EP deputy said in an interview to DW. He informed that he would intend the EP to allocate funds to Ukraine for informative campaign on HIV prevention.
According to European bureau of world health organization, for today there are 400 thousand of HIV infected people in Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainians know little about HIV/AIDS.
He noted that despite Ukraine is among leaders of HIV/AIDS spread, Ukrainian authorities stray from this problem.
He also noted that informative campaign will not need much money as Ukraine has already had well-known organizations and mass media that will implement informative project.
