President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko addressed to the CEC with request to reconsider issue on registration of BYuT candidates. The deputy head of the President’s Secretariat Maryna Stavniychuk informed today at a briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
According to her, President appealed to CEC because he had received a letter from BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko with request to take appropriate measures for provision of human rights and freedom during early parliamentary elections.
Stavniychuk reminded that according to law on elections, CEC must adopt a decision on registration within three days after document were submitted.
Stavniychuk noted that address of the President should not be estimated as a pressure on the CEC.
