President Viktor Yushchenko on Thursday thanked the head of Kyiv’s Shevchenko District and the governors of Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpatya, Lugansk, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi for helping rehabilitate the Lviv region’s children affected by last month’s chemical accident in the village of Ozhydiv.
Yushchenko praised their actions as a “manifestation of their high civil commitment and humanness,” adding that such examples “teach our society unity,” President’s press office reports.
