One of the BYuT deputy leaders Olexander Turchynov informed that documents of about 100 initiative groups on National referendum on new version of the Constitution are submitted to the CEC. Olexander Turchynov said that in an interview after interparty BYuT congress on Sunday
“Documents were submitted on Friday. CEC must make a decision within ten days,” he noted.
According to him, meetings on referendum support were held in all regions of Ukraine but in some regions local authorities block consideration of these documents.”
“I understand that CEC has much work to do now but I hope it will fulfill its duties,” he said.
"In case of fulfillment of law demands by local authorities and CEC, BYuT will be able to collect more than three million signatures within a month. In such a way in late September we can solve this issue together with elections,” he said.
