The situation in the sphere of natural gas provision has been worsened in Ukraine. Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Yuriy Prodan stated at the briefing in the Secretariat, ForUm’s correspondent reports.
“NSDC has stated the worsening of the situation in the energy sphere, taking into account, that gas price has been increased considerably, and that natural gas, supplied in Ukraine, is monopoly dependent,” Prodan claimed.
Besides, as deputy Secretary of the NSDC noted, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko formulated the main measures necessary to fulfill. According to Prodan, the President considers the actions of executive bodies to be coordinated in order to follow the national interests of Ukraine in the process of external economic activity in the sphere of energy.
