President Viktor Yushchenko on Monday has sent a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych with a request to implement the recently issued President’s Decree aimed at boosting investment activity and investment research in Ukraine.
Yushchenko states that decrease of investment activity, scientific and science potential, reduction of investments in the directions of strategically important innovative development “are a threat to the nation’s interests and Ukraine’s security,” according to the Law “On the Fundamentals of Ukraine’s National Security”.
The Head of the State notes that the Decree is published for the purpose of favorable conditions for the activation and development of investment activity in accordance with the authorities concerning the national security ensuring.
