First vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Mykola Azarov doesn’t understand why representative of the National bank of Ukraine Volodymyr Stelmah has entered the election list of “Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense” bloc. Azarov has stated at a briefing on Friday, ForUm’s correspondent reports
Azarov has emphasized that the Government has no disagreements with the National bank of Ukraine. “I think it doesn’t matter which election list Volodymyr Semenovych (Stelmah – ed.) has entered, “Our Ukraine” or another one, we will always have a mutual understanding, we have known each other for many years,” he noted.
According to vice Prime Minster, the National bank will always focus on economic and financial policy, which the Government holds. “We appreciate its independence, but at the same time, we will not lead the National bank to hold a policy, which can change the conception of the Government about the bases of financial and economic stability in the country,” the Minister of Finance has said.
