Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the fifth convocation Olexander Moroz states that Party of Regions faction has agreed to take part in the extraordinary session of the parliament, which is appointed on August 7-10.

Moroz held a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on Thursday evening and discussed a question on extraordinary session holding.

According to Moroz, during the meeting the Prime Minister assured that the Party of Regions would fulfill the previous agreements to hold the session.

As earlier reported, on July 27 Olexander Moroz on the demand of 179 People’s deputies adopted a resolution to hold the extraordinary VRU session.

On July 30 the consultations of the factions’ leaders took place, after which deputy leader of the Party of Regions Mykhaylo Chechetov stated that the Party of Regions faction would not participate in the extraordinary session of the VRU.

In their turn, representatives of the Communists party showed their readiness to participate in the parliamentary session.

Then on July 30 the factions leaders decided to postpone the VRU session. On July 31 Moroz published a resolution to hold the extraordinary session on August 7-10, 2007.
