Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych held a meeting with United States Deputy Assistant Secretary David Kramer.
Yanukovych is glad that USA side pays such attention to Ukraine.
He informed David Kramer about macroeconomic and social rates of Ukraine for the first half a year of 2007. He reported that the GDP growth amounted 7,9%, industrial production – 12%, inflation – 4,2%, investments growth – 32,3 %.
Yanukovych informed that the level of unemployment had decreased by 2,6%, the salary had increased by 25%, and pension had increased by 20%.
The Prime Minister also informed that the Government had raised salaries twice this year. Moreover, it plans to raise salaries once more in autumn.
“It is not a simple task and it is necessary to use big resources,” he noted.
