PM of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych considers that establishment of new order in the country is the date when his Government started to work. He said that today, opening enhanced session of the Cabinet, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“In few days there will be a year since our team, after victory at parliamentary elections 2006, has formed the Government. This day remains in the Ukrainian history as a date of establishment of new constitutional order – parliamentary-presidential model of power,” he said.
According to Yanukovych, in August last year we had an opportunity to form effective, responsible power. Yanukovych is sure that then executive power was ready to share responsibility with parliamentary coalition and the President.
He noted that the Government understood that it would work under complicated conditions. “Having made analysis of the economic situation we saw that ideology of social populist of the former Government led to exhaustion of economy,” he said.
According to Yanukovych, former government work also led to tariff crisis in the country.
Yanukovych noted that the first step of his Government was order in the financial sphere of the country. PM emphasized that the Cabinet renewed dialogue between business and power and also improved relations with Russia and the European Union.
At the same time, Yanukovych stated that it is necessary to do much in order to overcome corruption, struggle against corruption is very difficult.
