President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has made strict order of actions on overcoming consequences of accident and natural disasters in some regions of Ukraine and will listen to report of Government members on results of their work in zones of emergency situations. According to the president’s press office, head of the President’s Secretariat Viktor Baloha said that yesterday.

According to Baloha, the President’s decree from July 23 is aimed at assistance provision.

“It is the second time for a week the President must interfere in crisis situations (accident in Lviv region and hurricane in Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions),” Baloha noted.

According to Baloha, inappropriate actions of some members of the Government made the President manage the actions of some state institutions to liquidate consequences of accident in Lviv region.

He also noted that Yushchenko gave the Government three weeks for full liquidation of accident damages “The President will listen to report of Government members on results of work in zones of emergency situations,” Baloha noted.
