Yushchenko said a State commission and the Prosecutor General’s commission were working to find out what had caused Monday’s derailment and added that an independent report on the causes of the accident would soon be presented. The President insisted that the Prosecutor General and the Head of the State commission must carry out their investigations “objectively, impartially and openly,” and inform the citizens about the accident, its effects and possible aftereffects.
