Number of victims in “phosphorus disaster” increases

For today 164(34 children) people are hospitalized who suffered from train accident near Lviv. Their nimber is constantly increasing. According to press service of Health Ministry doctors keep carrying out prophylactic investigation of people who live in neighboring villages and tows to the place of accident. There are 9 medical department (31 specialists), 3 general brigades (9 specialists), 4 specialized brigades (16 specialists) – anaesthetist, reanimation and 2 medical assistant brigades.

It should be noted that despite government states that situation is under control and there is no need for panic, some officials dodged the question whether they would evacuate their families in case they live in Lviv region. Moreover, people complain that there is a lack of prophylactic medicines and mineral water in the drug stores. At first people were given mineral water free of charge but after officials assured that there is no threat to people’s heath, water provision was stopped.
