President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko can veto law on state budget 2008 in case it does not have his special propositions. Head of social policy department of the President’s Secretariat Pavlo Rozenko said that yesterday at a briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“President will make decision by himself but Secretariat will recommend to veto law in case there will be no social initiatives of the President,” he said.

According to him, after presentation of social initiative on June 22 President forwarded a letter to government. “But during the month the government in fact did not react at these initiatives,” he noted.

“That’s why the Secretariat is concerned about absence of any reaction from the Government concerning President’s initiatives,” Rozenko said.
