BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Canada Peter MacKay on Wednesday. They discussed conduct of fair and transparent parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
MacKay expressed assurance that Canada among foreign countries will sent to Ukraine the most number of observers as it was at previous parliamentary and presidential elections.
He also noted that Canada who was the first admitted Ukraine’s independence was and remains a friend of democratic and European Ukraine.
Tymoshenko thanked the Minister for assistance in Ukraine’s democracy establishment and for in-depth help in drawing to Ukraine’s accession to the WTO.
Perspectives of cooperation between Canada and Ukraine in energy sphere were discussed in scope of the meeting.
Yulia Tymoshenko got invitation from the Minister to visit Canada at any convenient for her time.
