“Our Ukraine”-People’s Self-Defense” bloc and BYuT plan to form a democratic majority in the Verkhovna Rada of VI convocation. According to the official press service of the united democratic forces, head of election headquarter of “Our Ukraine”-“People’s Self-Defense” Viktor Baloha told the journalists.
According to him, now a bilateral agreement is being worked out that will be signed officially by two blocs leaders. “The document is likely to be ready for signing next week. The agreement envisages political liabilities of the sides concerning formation a coalition in a new parliament”, Baloha emphasized.
He added that at the year beginning “Our Ukraine” and BYuT concluded an agreement on joint oppositional activity. “The People’s Self-Defense movement, which joined the democratic forces camp, strengthened the opposition. It is a result of joint activity against political corruption and power usurpation. BYuT also made efforts to resist these destroying notions. In such a way we have common platform for further actions,” Baloha noted.
At the same time Baloha set more significant tasks for democratic forces. “President insists on importance of adoption of urgent decision for county development. ProUkrainian coalition and new government must play key role in it. There is no other way for responsible political forces - “Our Ukraine”- “People’s Self-Defense” and BYuT, except formation of qualitative majority,” he stressed.
