The appeals to renew the benefits for the citizens of Ukraine are populism. Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Our Government will never be involved in populism,” he said.
“We will fulfill the program, which is planned, which is realistic and is directed to the fair distribution of the State’s means”. “This process must always be fulfilled consequently, with all necessary decisions from the side of all participants of this process,” the PM said.
Yanukovych said that he is incited to accuse former Heads of the Government, who canceled these benefits. “I will not do this, though starting from 2000 the benefits for the citizens of Ukraine were canceled a lot,” he noted.
Yanukovych is assured that the reason is only one, the populists for political reasons adopted populist laws, which were impossible to carry out and to supply with the financial resources.
The Prime Minister claimed: “It is enough to confuse people, there must be a consciousness. Stop promising those things, which can’t be fulfilled. This is the disrespect for people”.
Yanukovych emphasized that during the half a year the Government has fulfilled all planned programs, and reminded that this year another salary rise is supposed.
