Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and High EU Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana during the meeting in Brussels discussed the preparation for the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine and the questions on conflict of Transdniestria settlement. The representative office of the EU in Ukraine informed.
Solana greeted the invitation of the European observers and called Ukraine to hold fair and independent elections, “UNIAN” reports.
Solana and Yatsenyuk noted the importance to continue the close cooperation for the purpose of peaceful settlement of the conflict of Transdniestria. At the same time, the sides spoke about the necessity to renew the negotiations in “5+2” format.
