The Foreign Minister of Ukraine Arseny Yatsenyuk paid official visit to Afghanistan on July 14. Yatsenyuk discussed with the President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai issue on Ukraine’s participation in renewal of civil infrastructure of this country, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
According to the Foreign Ministry press service, the key element of the negotiations was issue on development of military-technical cooperation between two countries and participation of Ukrainian companies in intelligence and development of gas deposits on the territory of Afghanistan, UNIAN reports.
Karzai gave regards to the president Viktor Yushchenko. In turn Yatsenyuk on behalf of Yushchenko confirmed invitation to visit Ukraine at any convenient for Hamid Karzai time.
