First vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Mykola Azarov is assured that the Cabinet of Ministers is tapped. He stated in an interview to the newspaper “2000” from July 13.
“I have no doubts. Foreign special services can listen to us,” Azarov said.
According to him, the building of the Government is very old. It was built in 1930, that’s why it is not protected from the tapping, and the system of connection and the equipment doesn’t correspond to the present demands.
“Just imagine these are simple glass windows. How we can speak about protection of the information? And how we can discuss the Sates secrets, when one can install the tapping device at a distance of 100 m and he will know all the issues that are discussed in the room?” Azarov noted.
The first vice Prime Minister said that the Government’s building must be extensive repaired.
“I say once more, the building needs to be reconstructed. And this is a long-term prospect,” ha said.
