In the Nikisky botanical garden (Yalta, Crimea) the “green labyrinth” has been created. It has no analogues on the territory of CIS.
As Head of the project Pavel Vasylchenko informed, the labyrinth is situated on the territory with an area of 20 sq. m, the length of the paths compounds about 1.1 km. The green labyrinth is made of green plantations – laurel. For today the height of the labyrinth is about 1.3 m, and in future the labyrinth will “grow” till 1.5 -1.7 m. On the territory of the green labyrinth five pools with lilies and fishes are situated.
According to Vasylchenko, an official opening of the green labyrinth is planned for the next week. But now people who wish can attend this park amusement. If some visitors get lost, two workers of the park will help them to find the way.
Founded in 1812, the Nikitsky Botanical garden is certainly worth a visit for its beauty and views. It is home and shelter for almost 28,000 species, including 2,000 rose types. Garden is situated in 5 km from Yalta in village Nikita
