Head of mission of Ukraine at NATO Konstantin Morozov is convinced that Ukraine’s accedence to NATO is inevitable. He told in an interview in Brussels yesterday after special meeting of commission Ukraine-NATO dedicated to 10th anniversary of Charter signing on cooperation between Kyiv and NATO.
Morozov said that alliance keeps to support Ukrainian ambitions, but “term of Ukraine’s accedence to NATO Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, political power and forces must define by themselves”.
He also noted that further development of relations Ukraine-NATO will depend on main political forces of Ukraine.
According to him, the main obstacle on the way of Ukraine to NATO is low support of public opinion. “Main obstacle on the way is also absence of consensus between political leaders; the obstacle is in political plane," he said.
