In Volyn region the workers of the State service on struggle against economic crimes arrested the mayor of the city for the bribe obtaining in amount of USD 9 thousand.
As the Department on public relations of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Ukraine reported, the city chairman demanded and got USD 9 thousand from the private entrepreneur in order to support him in allocation of land lot for the factory building, “UNIAN” reports.
The Prosecutor’s office of the region commenced a suit on the basis of crime characteristics, foreseen in the part 2 of the article 368 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
During the last day 87 criminal cases were commenced for economic crimes, 30 among them - in the sphere of state activity.
