Within the framework of a working visit to Serbia, Foreign Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Serbia, the Cabinet’s press office informs.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed about measures, taken by the Foreign Ministry on coordination of the state policy on foreign Ukrainians and support of the Ukrainian community in Serbia.
The Foreign Minister discussed topical issues of the Diaspora's activity and assured that Ukraine will proceed supporting Ukrainians in Serbia at the state level.
It was stressed at the meeting about a vital importance of participation of the Ukrainian Diaspora in the Serbian politics, fulfillment of economic projects through the Ukrainian -Serbian Intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk thanked the participants for their assistance in spreading information about the Holodomor in Ukraine. Arseniy Yatsenyuk also informed about inauguration of the monument to victims of the Holodomor in Sremska under support of the Foreign Ministry.
