The congress members of Kingdom of Spain recognized Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine an act of Ukrainian people genocide. The press service of People’s deputy Sergiy Bychkov with reference to deputy speaker of Congress Ignacio Hilem Lazaro informs.
According to Hilem Lazaro, who is the head of Interparliamentary group of Spain-Ukraine friendship, a corresponding decision was made on June 25.
In his turn head of the VRU group on interparliamentary relations with Kingdom of Spain Buchkov noted that “in such way the historical justice is being established, and at the level of modern relations with Spain, new possibilities are being opened for cooperation, in particular in humanitarian sphere”.
