President Victor Yushchenko on Tuesday met with Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych in Boryspil Airport.

The two leaders spoke about preparations for early parliamentary elections, especially how to stabilize the Central Election Commission, and budget issues in the context of Yushchenko’s recent social initiatives, according to President's press office.

With the Verkhovna Rada disbanded, Yushchenko and Yanukovych agreed to hold a session of the National Security and Defense Council to find mechanisms for making tender purchases before the country’s new parliament is elected.

Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko was present at the meeting and informed the President about recent investigations.
