Ukraine will stand for its national interests concerning Danube and the Black Sea. We have very strong positions, in particular concerning Zmeiny island and the Black Sea shelf, the case of which is in the international court. Arseny Yatsenyuk the Foreign Minister of Ukraine told on Friday in Odesa, the ForUm’s correspondent informed.
Commenting on a situation concerning Ukrainian ship passage “Danube-the Black Sea”, Yatsenyuk noted that all efforts of Romania to ban its operation have no perspectives. If there are ecologic problems, it is necessary to solve them, but not to close the channel.
“Ukraine will stand for its economic interests. If there problems, we will solve them by means of dialogue. We are even ready to finance ecology monitoring of Lower Dunabe,” he noted.
