Foreign Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with representatives of the US Chamber of Commerce, foreign diplomats and foreign businessmen, running businesses in Ukraine to discuss political situation in Ukraine, the Cabinet’s press office informs.

The Foreign Minister assured his interlocutors that fresh parliamentary elections will be free and fair. He also noted that the Foreign Ministry considers inviting international mediators to monitor the elections.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk also called chief tasks of the Foreign Ministry to accede to the WTO and to reach a new intensified agreement with the EU. The agreement will bring Ukraine closer to the EU's membership, he said.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk spoke about the Ukrainian-EU relations and said that the parties successfully fulfil the 2007 cooperation plan and implement joint projects within the framework of the Millennium Challenge Corporation. He also vowed US Business figures to invest into the Ukrainian economy.

Speaking about the Ukrainian-Russian relations, Arseniy Yatsenyuk admitted to some improvement, confirmed by a meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
