Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych counts on tackling with the Russian side the prospects of cooperation in military-industrial complex. This was aired by Viktor Yanukovych on opening in Moscow the second sitting of Intergovernmental Ukraine-Russia Committee on economic cooperation, Cabinet press office reported.

Certainly, there are numbers of issues we, so to say, haven’t reached yet, notably the questions of aircraft construction, issues of operation of our scientific-technical complexes, manufacturing of high-tech produce, space industry, as the Head of the Ukrainian Government explained and added, - All this is awaiting and I consider as one of the urgent issues to be concerned is military-industrial complex.

The PM noted that the mentioned topic demands more accurate and concrete discussion, defining cooperation trends and elaborating the program. “And of course, the work with third markets and it is of great concern too,” he admitted.

According to the Head of the Government Ukraine sees a tendency of decreasing export of military-industrial produce and it worries Kyiv. “We have analyzed the situation and would avoid long discussion into it but we realize its actual character and the need to take it up and determine our position,” Viktor Yanukovych said.

Prime Minister also emphasized that Ukraine’s Government is alarmed about interruption of joint inspection of agricultural enterprises. “Our agriculture producers from both sides are suffering. And it is of principal meaning for us,” Viktor Yanukovych imparted.

Moreover, Viktor Yanukovych put in that the current sitting of the Committee is viewed as the run-up for Intergovernmental Commission’s sitting which is slated for August in Russia. “There are some issues for us to be tackled in order to submit them during that high-level negotiations, “ Viktor Yanukovych said.
