The draft bill “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on status of the People’s deputies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and local councils” on the imperative mandate cancellation was submitted for consideration in the VRU.

Members of interfaction union “Free democrats” Volodymyr Kurreniy and Olexiy Danilov are the authors of that draft bill, the “Free democrats” press service informs.

The draft bill’s authors are sure the parliament will not delay the consideration of that question and will adopt it in the nearest time. According to the authors, the draft bill foresees to strengthen the People’s deputies’ freedom as well as to provide independent and conscious voting at the sessional meetings, “UNIAN” reports.

According to the initiators of that document, “strict “biding” of the People’s deputies to this or that faction turns them into the “button-pushers” without right to vote, and the “Ukrainian” imperative mandate doesn’t correspond to the European democratic regulations”
