President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko expressed gratitude to all political forces participating in overcoming of political crisis in Ukraine, he told today at the press conference in Kyiv, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“As the President I am very grateful to all political forces that passed negotiation process and found reasonable way out of the political crisis in Ukraine. It is a great victory of democratic forces,” he said.
At the same time he expressed assurance that step of 169 People’s deputies from opposition shows supremacy of priorities – for what we stand for, why we go to politics and what future for the country we want to have. I am convinced such steps of opposition are worthy of the highest estimation including the people estimation,” he noted.
Moreover, Yushchenko stressed again on early parliamentary elections, having noted that they can be a recipe of life afresh.
“I would like to emphasize that the political corruption prevails in the country. “In case we do not find the way to abolish it in the parliament, the laws will be bought, as well as privatization packages and budget assignation… In case we abolish corruption in the political echelons of power, we will abolish it in local authorities,” he said.
