The Donetsk Court of Appeal on Tuesday passed three rulings on the illegality of the May 16, 30 and June 1 rulings by several district courts to rescind President Victor Yushchenko’s decrees dismissing judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, President's press office reported.

Yushchenko’s deputy chief of staff, Ihor Pukshyn, has said these rulings show that those decisions were illegal and that only the fired judges, not members of parliament, can be plaintiffs in such cases. Moreover, courts cannot rescind presidential decrees, he added.

This decision by the Donetsk Court of Appeal has been the third such ruling over the past two months.
