The State budget of Ukraine for 2008 will be based on the old taxation basis, as terms of adoption of a new Tax Code of Ukraine expired, the Finances Ministry reported.
According to the secretary of the First Vice Prime Minister Vitaliy Lukyanenko, a budgetary resolution for 2008 has not been passed yet, Cabinet press office reported.
In March the first Vice Prime Minister Mykola Azarov promised the 2008 budget be based on the new Tax Code, which provides for gradual reducing tax burden and enhancement of the taxation basis.
Still, the matter of the Tax Code has not been solved at Government deliberations and conformably has not been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
