President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko introduced a position of the constant representative of the President of Ukraine in the CEC and appointed to that post Maryna Stavniychuk, the head’s deputy of the President’s Secretariat and the President’s representative in the Constitutional Court.

The corresponding decree was signed by the President on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday the President by his decree had appointed Stavniychuk the President’s representative in the Constitutional Court.

Stavnyichuk, born in 1965, had worked in the CEC from 1999. From 2004 had taken the position of the chairman’s deputy in the CEC till the new staff appointment on June 1, 2007.

Earlier Volodymyr Shapoval, heading the CEC now, had represented the President in the Constitutional Court.
